Winner of the 2016 Immigrant Entrepreneur Award

I am very honored to be the recipient of the 2016 Immigrant Entrepreneur Award from Global Pittsburgh in recognition of my achievements and for enriching the Pittsburgh region with my talent and tenacity since my arrival in 1998.

Immigrant Entrepreneur Award

Learn more about the Immigrant Entrepreneur Award:

Pittsburgh is a vibrant and multicultural city that is diverse and ever-changing. Since the 1800’s it has been a settling point for many different ethnic groups; from the migration of Native Americans to the Irish seeking refuge from the potato famine, Pittsburgh is home to people from around the world. (Retrieved from WQED)

GlobalPittsburgh honored this legacy by recognizing local immigrant entrepreneurs. One individual was awarded in each distinct category that corresponds with his or her career path.

From a pool of ninety nominations made by friends, family and colleagues and forty individuals nominated, thirty-two individuals accepted the nomination, for six awards. Reflecting the truly global origins of new Pittsburghers, the nominees represent nearly every continent and all the major sectors of the city’s economy.

Grateful for my friends Lynn Hagan, Sherry Campbell, Erin Hagan Hart, founder of Farm to Table Pittsburgh, and Josh Meeder, Owner of Great Things LLC, who joined the celebration at the Rivers Club in Downtown Pittsburgh.
